Brynn Shaffer is a Los Angeles based journalist, covering local news, life/arts, entertainment, business, as well as the aerospace industry. As she currently navigates her varied interests, her passion for storytelling unites her reporting, which is evident in her balanced writing. She has strong interviewing skills and a thorough understanding of AP style. As a freelance journalist, her byline has appeared in the San Diego Union Tribune, National Catholic Reporter, the LION, and she has freelanced audio to NPR.

Brynn is a recent graduate from Loyola Marymount University, holding a BA in both journalism and international relations. During her time at LMU, Brynn worked as a copy editor for the Los Angeles Loyolan, and served as the vice president and co-founder of LMU's campus chapter of SPJ.

Outside of journalism, Brynn enjoys photography, fashion, getting outside, and exploring new coffee shops around L.A. She has a special passion for traveling and hopes one day this can help land her a reporting position overseas.
